Codemasters have announced today that a demo for the upcoming F1 2012 will be launching this week for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC ahead of it’s September world-wide release date.  To celebrate, a new gameplay trailer that recreates the opening to the 2012 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP was released, the video can be seen on the newly launched site www.formula1-game.com.

The demo should be available for PlayStation 3 in North America on Tuesday 11th September and for PlayStation 3 in Europe (and by extension South-Africa) on Wednesday 12th September. Players can expect to get a taste of two of the game’s shiny new features: Young Driver Test and Season Challenge.

The Young Driver Test lets players learn how to handle these powerful vehicles with the help of various tests and videos and is based on the real-life event held in Abu Dahbi.  In Season Challenge you take on ten races and attempt to become the number one driver on the grid.

The demo will allow you to pick a rival and race against them in a five lap race at the iconic Monza race track.  F1 2012 is being developed at Codemasters Birmingham and aims to deliver an immersive, yet accessible Formula One game for players of all skill levels.
