Sony Announces PS Vita, Memory Card Price Drops

At the Gamescom Sony Press Conference Sony announced price cuts for both PlayStation Vita models and Vita memory cards.

Wi-Fi and the 3G Vita models will now be $200. ($50 drop for the Wi-Fi  and $100  drop for the 3G version).

In addition, the 4GB Vita memory card has shaved $5 off its price point, lowering its cost to $14.99, the 8GB card is now $19.99 (down from $29.99), the 16GB card is now $39.99 (previously $59.99), and the 32GB memory card is now $79 (down from $99). – Will confirms and post SA Pricing as soon as we get the info.

“I’m excited to announce that the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) system is now available for $199.99 MSRP in North America, making it a compelling value for gamers,” SCEA product planning and platform software innovation director Don Mesa posted on the PlayStation Blog. “With some amazing games coming out in the next few months, including Killzone Mercenary and Tearaway, along with connectivity to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) system through ‘Remote Play,’ now is the perfect time to become a PS Vita owner.”
